Hi, we are Danielle and Simone!

With each of us practicing real estate in contemporary roles, we had trouble finding creativity in our day-to-day jobs. We desperately craved a creative outlet for our inventiveness. After putting our heads together in search of what inspires and energizes us, this blog was born. We want to share our love for worldwide travel and adventure to anyone who will listen – or read – or watch! Follow along for travel inspiration at @drifting_pretty.

We are based in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, but spend as much time exploring this beautiful world as possible. Trust us, we go out of our way to wander like you do! After returning from our adventures, we realized an overwhelming number of itinerary requests from family, friends and acquaintances greeted us upon our return. So here we are!

With over 50 countries visited, we aim to create a space where we can share our highlights, must-visits, and even the unfortunate oops moments with all of you – everyone has high-fived a sea urchin at the start of a month long trip in the tropics, haven’t they? We have curated top recommendations and tips from trusted online and local sources and verified them with our own experiences. What separates us is our diverse modes of travel. We have done the budget route… the “sleeping on a beach and sneaking into hostels” kind of budget route… and have experienced luxury travel as (almost) grown adults. We believe travel should be accessible no matter what stage of financial life you are in. 

We hope that we can inspire you to get out there and see the world – by whatever means necessary.
